Meet Simon Chamakala, a dedicated Christian. Husband to loving wife Jomini and father of three wonderful children Teresa (12 Yrs.), Isaac (9 Yrs.) & Serena (7Yrs.). Simon migrated from India with his family in the early 90’s at a very young age of 14 in pursuit of the American dream and a better life. A graduate of McKinney high school, right from his early days he was incredibly involved with student unions and other collegeactivities and remained enthusiastic throughout his academic days to engage and work with fellow students for the bettermentof colleagues and other fellow students.
As a graduate in nursing and a licensed registered nurse in the state of Texas, Simon continues to pursue his love for his profession and has shown unwavering commitment to help his patients especially those who need dialysis on an on-going basis. He is currently employed as the Group Facility Administrator(GFA) for the leading healthcare dialysis firm DaVita health care system where he oversees and manages close to 250 employees in the Dallas Fort Worth region. Most recently he has incorporated and set up a newly formed residential assisted living center for the elderly citizens in Carrollton city where he plans to deliver world class facility for senior citizens and plans to use his expertise in health care to provide world class care and comfort for those in need. As a longtime resident of Carrollton himself Simon believes in creating and providing more jobslocally in the city and takes it upon himself to provide exceptional support and service to the city of Carrollton.
Simon felt truly honored back in 2020 when then Mayor Kevin Falconer approached him to be part of his advisory Council (Mayor’s Advisory Council – MAC ). He truly felt humbled and honored as he realized he was handpicked to be part of the advisory council which otherwise is not a position that is open to the general public. During his term in the council, he played a continually active role and took upon the opportunity to gain experience and learn more about the city and to understand the true potentials the city had to offer its citizens and figure out ways to further streamline policies that would take the city a notch further in the right direction. His inspiration to run for city council ignited right during this period when he realized how much he could offer to the city of Carrollton.
Simon has also been highly active with the Carrollton – Farmer’s Branch Rotary Club and has served as one of the board membersof the club besides being very instrumental in several fund raising including working as the fundraising director of the Rotary Club to bring in much needed funding as part of the Rotary fundraising flag program.
Early last year Simon was honored with the 2023 Leadership Award from the City of Carrollton at the 15th Annual Citizens Evening event.
Simon is a devoted family-oriented person and enjoys spending time with his family. Knowing his kids to be incredibly involvedin the Scout’s program in 2022 Simon went through the vigorous journey of becoming an Assistant Den Leader for the Cub Scouts with Pack749 in Carrollton needless to say his kids were overly excited at his accomplishment.
Simon’s community service efforts extend beyond the city of Carrollton and are unique and far reaching. He is an active member at the Christ the King Church and has severed as the Parish council member and Parish event Co-Ordinator for the past many years. In addition, he has served and volunteered at some of the below events.

With unwavering dedication and with a heart of community service he looks forward to continuing a journey to empower and enrich every citizen of Carrollton and looks forward to everyone’s support in the upcoming city council election to help him get elected as Carrollton’s City Council member representing Place 7. He truly believes it will be him honor to represent and sever the great people of Carrollton and looks forward to this opportunity.
